Salt Lake City—Women Tech Council (WTC), a Utah-based organization focused on technology-related women in business, is hosting its “Up the Ladder and Through the Ceiling” networking event on May 20, 2011. Leading technology experts will discuss how women move up the career ladder, what skills they need and how being a woman can influence the process. It will take place at One to One Marketing (located at 2912 Executive Pkwy, Ste. 300 in Lehi, Utah), from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The cost for the event is $35 for WTC members and $45 for non-members.
The networking event’s panel will feature Carine Clark, senior vice president of Symantec; Blake Modersitzki, managing partner at Pelion Partners; Chris Stone, managing partner at Epic Ventures; and Lyda Bigelow, professor at the University of Utah’s Eccles School of Business.
“Our ‘Up the Ladder’ event is one of the premier networking events in Utah. The goal of our panel is to drive the discussion around the tools to more effectively compete for business funding, and to also enhance the skills needed to hone, acquire and build their careers. The event will also focus on networking, because we understand the importance of strengthening your personal capital through relationship building,” said WTC Director Cydni Tetro.
