Laura Ferguson

Laura Ferguson is a Direct Solutions Consultant for Addepar. Previously, she worked for Goldman Sachs, and has experience in software development, data engineering, and business intelligence. During her 5-year career, she has developed a particular interest in process improvement, and is constantly looking for ways to increase efficiency and improve client experience. Laura moved to Salt Lake City after completing her undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, where she received degrees in both Business Information Technology and Finance. In 2021, she decided to further her education and completed her Master of Science in Information Systems at the University of Utah with a focus in cybersecurity. Laura is passionate about supporting women in the technology sector and has deeply enjoyed mentoring junior women just starting out in their careers. She has also worked directly with high school girls interested in pursuing STEM education through the Women Tech Council’s SheTech program. Laura is a strong advocate for small businesses and has performed pro-bono work with local bakery RubySnap in order to improve their website. In her free time, Laura enjoys baking, skiing, and volunteering with local animal shelters. She lives in downtown Salt Lake City with her husband, dogs Daisy and Leon, and 3 cats Mac, Z, and Cider.
