Alexandra Passi
Dr. Alexandra Pasi has been in the data and AI/ML space for over a decade, making significant contributions to both industry and research. Her diverse technical experience in fields ranging from finance to laboratory science is unified by her passion for innovation, and dedication to bringing cutting-edge technology to market.
She co-founded Lucidity Sciences in 2021 to help guide companies in developing and executing their data and technology strategies. In this capacity, she has worked to help develop and scale ground-breaking and generalized AI/ML technologies for a variety of use-cases. In her role as VP of Data Science and Analytics at Zartico, one of the fastest growing technology companies in the travel space, Alexandra built and led the company’s data science team and capabilities from the ground up, leading the development of technologies that provide unparalleled insights to destination leaders around the country, and building the company’s patent portfolio.
Alexandra’s contributions to research span diverse areas including mathematics, oncology, and machine learning, with publications across multiple fields. She completed her PhD in Mathematics from Baylor University, winning the Outstanding Dissertation Award, which recognizes the top STEM dissertation university-wide.
Alexandra is passionate about elevating youth and promoting the participation of girls, women, and other underrepresented groups in science and technology. She has received a number of teaching and mentorship awards through her prior work as a university instructor, and helped to establish and develop mentorship programs for students. In her leadership roles, she promotes cultural diversity through introducing practices from her own pacific heritage, such as Talanoa, an oceanic form of open and collaborative dialogue.
She is an avid outdoor adventurer, and enjoys exploring native plant life throughout the mountains and deserts of her home state of Utah.
