Natalie Birrell
Natalie Birrell, Senior Vice President-Engineering, is playing a critical role in shaping the future of technology at Entrata. Her impressive career includes nearly 20 years of experience leading software engineering and product management at companies ranging from start-ups to multi-billion dollar, multinational organizations. Her notable contributions include: multiple large-scale digital transformations, building and bringing successful products to market, creating product-focused teams, implementing agile methodologies, and introducing enterprise-level portfolio management.
As a trailblazing woman in the local tech sector, Natalie uses her personal experience and leadership to champion women and girls looking to find their place in a traditionally male-dominated industry. She is an Advisory Board Member for Women Tech Council and a member of the Women United Executive Council for the United Way of Salt Lake, which focuses on creating equitable opportunities for all Utah women and girls through high school mentoring and tutoring, scholarships for first-generation high school graduates, and STEM learning opportunities in Title 1 schools.
Her recent contributions have driven the success of important initiatives like SheTech Explorer Day and Code Adventure, a week-long camp that introduces high school girls to the world of coding. She enjoys participating in panel discussions and local speaking engagements where she shares her experiences and helps others understand the importance of diversity in tech. Natalie also volunteers in areas outside of the tech community. For the last eight years she has volunteered at Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Utah, a cause that is near and dear to her.
Natalie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Utah, and is the mother of five energetic children – three-year-old twin boys, nine and thirteen-year-old daughters, and a fifteen-year-old son. Her goal is to raise her children to realize their potential, be an ally, and advocate for others.
