Dr./Prof. Susan R. Madsen
This year’s Impact Award goes to Dr. Susan Madsen who is making amazing strides to help women at every stage of their tech careers. She has worked for decades to lead social change so that more Utah girls and women can thrive. Dr. Madsen is a globally-recognized scholar, speaker, and author and has presented her work at the UN, the U.S. State Department, and to a myriad of world governments. Her research has also been featured in publications including U.S. News and World Report, the Atlantic, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. She is currently a Professor of Leadership at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University and is the Founder and Director of the Utah Women & Leadership Project. She leads “A Bolder Way Forward,” a statewide collective impact strategy that supports progress and growth for all women, including those in STEM fields. She has spent her career documenting women’s history, making women’s equality a reality, and paving a path for the future of women by opening doors for women and girls in STEM.
