Jessica has dedicated her career to improving healthcare delivery, working to enhance efficiency, quality, and access. In her role as the Vice President for Data Science and Analytics at Health Catalyst, she collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, clinical experts, and engineers to operationalize AI-powered decision support for health systems across the country.

Supporting over 75 hospital systems, Jessica provides guidance for asking and answering the most challenging questions for improving quality, operations, and equity while maintaining financial viability. Jessica shapes Health Catalyst’s analytics strategy by integrating statistical techniques into products, reports, and services and supports our patent-pending self-service AI tool, Healthcare.AI. Jessica aims to democratize AI, ensuring accessibility and comprehension for non-data scientists and statisticians, fostering broad adoption and casting a wide net for healthcare improvement.

Jessica’s passion and superpower lie in simplifying complicated concepts so that individuals and organizations can make data-informed decisions. By enabling people to concentrate on the human aspect of care while leveraging technology, Jessica strives to make a meaningful impact.

Jessica has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, including work for an EHR vendor, a popular consumer healthcare website, and teaching statistics at the University of Virginia. She holds degrees from the University of Georgia and the University of Virginia. Jessica volunteers as a mentor for women in science and technology and organizations supporting LGBTQ+ youth. She has 3 nearly grown children and spends her free time reading, outdoors, and listening to live music.
